INGREDIENTS:-
4 potatoes, boiled, peeled and roughly mashed with hands
3 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 tablespoon green chili paste
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoons coriander-cumin powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon chat masala
1 teaspoon fennel powder
1 teaspoon amchur powder
1/4 teaspoon hing
Salt to taste
4-5 tablespoons coriander, finely chopped
10 square puff pastries
10 slices cheese
Butter to brush the pastry sides
INSTRUCTIONS:-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
Add the mashed potatoes to a large wide bowl and add salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander-cumin powder, amchur powder, chat masala, fennel powder, garam masala, green chili paste, and chopped coriander.
Heat oil in a small pan. add the cumin and mustard seeds. Stir for a few seconds and once they begin to splutter pour it into the potato mixer.
Now gently combine everything into the potato mixture with your hands.
Lay the puff pastries on a greased baking tray.
Put cheese slices in the center of each pastry. (you can put it on the top of the potato mixer too)
Spoon the potato mixture in the center of the pastry sheet leaving about 1/2 inch from the each side. And gently pat it.
Brush the pastry edges with some butter.
Put it in the oven until it is crispy, flaky, and golden brown.
Serve hot with sweet chutney, coriander chutney, or ketchup.
