Tikkhi Poori


💛 Ingredients 💛

  • 2 cups wheat flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon coriander-cumin powder

  • Salt to taste

  • Pinch of asafetida

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • Water as required

  • Oil for frying



💚 Instructions 💚

  • In a deep bowl, combine wheat flour, and all the masalas and mix.

  • Add in oil and water and make a semi soft dough. (not soft like Chapati)

  • Divide the dough into 24 equal parts and make small round balls.

  • Roll each dough into a poori shape with the help of some oil.

  • Fry 2-3 pooris at a time in hot oil on each side.

  • Remove in a paper towel.

  • Serve with your favorite pickle, or my athela jalapenos and tea.
